Dunaway announced today it has officially opened its Dallas office located at 1412 Main Street. The firm has tapped Principal and Regional Manager Jeff Taylor to lead the office and Regional Development Director Simon Harris IV will oversee business development.

“We are excited to expand our footprint in North Texas,” said Chris Wilde, CEO of Dunaway. “We are already doing a lot of work in Dallas and want to be there locally to better serve our clients.”

Mr. Taylor has more than 16 years of experience in initial program development, commercial site development, public infrastructure design, urban infill development, and industrial development/programming. He serves as client executive for the expansion of Children’s Health main campus and a new bed tower in Plano. Other recent projects include the Fort Worth Zoo, American Airlines Corporate Headquarters, Frost Tower and Dickies Arena.

“Having a Dallas presence will enhance our ability to support our clients and provide exciting opportunities for Dunaway,” said Taylor. “We’ve built a legacy in Fort Worth with long-standing clients and want to translate that into Dallas. One of our differentiators is Dunaway’s multi-discipline approach to projects.  We intend to bring all service lines into the Dallas market for the benefit of our clients.”

Mr. Harris was previously with KATERRA and brings over 18 years of experience in the planning, design, and construction industry. His experience with operational requirements within the built environment and ability to enhance the client’s expectations from conception to project closeout, solidifies his passion for growth.

“I’m excited to help Dunaway expand across North Texas,” said Harris. “We have a good book of work already in Dallas but there’s a lot of room for growth and market share in both the private and public sectors.”

As part of the plan to expand the Dallas market, Dunaway recently acquired Daniel & Brown Inc. (DBI), an engineering and construction inspection services firm located Northeast of Dallas. The strategic acquisition bolstered Dunaway’s experience in the design of water, wastewater and civil infrastructure projects for water and sewer companies, municipalities and utility providers.  DBI also brings an additional service line, Construction Inspection Services (CIS) to Dunaway —complimenting Dunaway’s core strengths of providing civil and structural engineering expertise for public and private infrastructure projects.
