American Airlines Trinity Complex
The American Airlines Trinity Complex sits on an approximately 300-acre wooded landscape in Fort Worth, Texas. Home to more than 7,000 employees, the project consisted of a 1.3 million-square-foot corporate headquarters situated in four high-rise buildings and a 6,000 vehicle parking garage with central utility plant.
Since 2014, Dunaway has provided civil engineering services for various campus facility and infrastructure improvements on the American Airlines campus. For the new Trinity Complex, our team collaborated with a Pelli Clark Pelli to provide boundary and topographic survey, civil engineering design, traffic signal design, and public roadway improvements design services.
Our team also worked closely with The Office of James Burnett and Kendall/Heaton Associates to develop a grading, drainage, and utility design that minimized the impact to the sites natural features while adding additional landscape elements to the project. These elements include a meandering drainage swale that provides for an aesthetic walk from the garage to the office buildings and water features that will utilize the condensing tower water and roof storm water run-off as a method of replenishment.
