Comprised of approximately 7,250 acres (11.4 square miles) in Tarrant and Parker Counties, Walsh Ranch is one of the largest master planned communities in the United States. Dunaway has been an integral part of the planning and engineering of Walsh Ranch for over 15 years, working closely with the Walsh Company in a variety of capacities. Our multi-disciplinary staff has allowed us to act as a consistent consultant to help maintain and guide the vision across many levels of detailed design.
Dunaway has provided planning and landscape architectural services including land planning collaboration and review, concept plan adjustments, City of Fort Worth coordination of zoning and land use refinements, annexation documents, regional park master planning, MTP development and modifications, greenbelt and open space concepts, and overall project guidance that encompassed unique bridge architecture and hardscape concepts. Dunaway also provided site, slope, and elevation analyses for each major section of the ranch.
Our team provided consultation on water and wastewater and transportation related infrastructure including master utility planning, design of water and sewer lines, traffic studies for the TxDOT highway interfaces, design of the primary arterials and I-30 interstate interchange, and collectors.
Dunaway also offered land surveying services, delivering boundary surveys, platting, topographic surveys, utility as-builts and easement documentation, gas well locations, gas pipeline routing, geotechnical boring locations, water well locations, construction staking, and roadway and utility as-built surveys.
Our Environmental Division provided Walsh Ranch with numerous studies and surveys including overall Waters of the U.S. and State for all of the ranch property north of I-20, wetland delineations for the Quail Valley area, individual permitting through the US Corp of Engineers, tree surveys, and preparation and maintenance oversight for the Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP) related to construction projects.
