Shaun Kirk joins Dunaway’s Central Texas Team
Dunaway is pleased to announce Shaun Kirk, PE, as the newest addition to our Central Texas structural team!
Shaun joins Dunaway as a Senior Technical Engineer in our Austin office, bringing with him over 20 years of knowledge with a demonstrated history of working in the design industry. Known predominantly for his expertise in high-rise design, Shaun applies his extensive knowledge across market sectors ranging from corporate commercial campuses to complex urban infill mixed-use developments.
Although he is new to Dunaway, his relationships are anything but – having worked with Dunaway’s Structural Line of Business Manager and Associate Principal, Mark Merryman, PE, LEED AP at a previous firm. As Merryman recalls, “Shaun and I have over two decades of experience working together on high-rise projects –– ranging from the Seaholm Power Plant Mixed-Use Development to Natiivo Austin – 48 East and The Hotel Van Zandt, as well as numerous locations in the Domain district”.
A graduate of Texas Tech University, Shaun holds a dual degree in Civil Engineering (Structural Emphasis) and Architecture. Chris Vadala, Dunaway’s Corporate Development Executive, who has worked with Shaun in the past speaks to his capabilities noting, “one of Shaun’s greatest strengths is in building client relationships –– due in part to his background in both engineering and architecture. I’ve watched countless times as Shaun’s holistic approach has provided clients with creative solutions to unique and challenging issues.”
